This is an early picture of my wife and dog at the Beach on a cold winter’s day. It’s not the best shot, but it’s got an interesting lead in with my wife in the distance trying to entice the dog into the sea. He was quite young at the time and apprehensive of new experiences. He had an enjoyable day though, as did we all.
I’m still searching for meaning and value in life despite the fact that I’m now nearly fifty years old. I’m 48 in July and throughout all of the hard work, the striving for success and the daily grind of existence it’s these small simple moments in life that have seemingly had the biggest impact on me and are the most vivid and wonderful things in my memory.
That’s why I love this picture, it’s simple, moody and speaks of moments in time that are soon to be lost. The universe is gentle, magnificent, eternal and ever changing and that includes all of us and all of our experiences.
We all share the same fate, to be moments in time, events and experiences for all others and nothing more. It’s a good thing to be a source of good events and good experiences for those around you, it’s these small moments that people remember you by.
